The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
